Passenger Numbers Increase 49% y/y for November
A new month, a new record. 431,642 passengers used Sofia Airport in November, an increase of 49% compared to the previous year.
November, historically the slowest month for the airport, saw more passengers than any month in 2015, a testament to the huge grow rate. It is anticipated that 2016 will show a growth of more than 20% compared to 2015, with just shy of 5 million passenger passing through the terminals.
It is predominately Terminal 1 which is seeing an increase in traffic, with 257,000 passenger using it in November. Terminal 1 is reserved for budget airlines such as Wizz and RyanAir.
