Sofia Airport have announced that 472,021 passengers used the Airport in December, an increase of 49.6% from 2015.
In total, 4,980,387 passengers passed through the airport during 2016 – a growth rate of 21.8% or 891,444 people. This number is exactly as predicted in October, given the increase in traffic from both Wizzair and Ryanair.
It is now anticipated that the Airport will serve more than 6 million flyers in 2017.
