Sofia Airport Summer Schedule
Today Sofia Airport Summer Schedule comes into effect with scheduled flights to the Slovenian capital city of Ljubljana. They will be operated three times a week – on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays by Adria Airways.
As of today, Wizz Air’s daily flights to Athens are also launched, and from the next day passengers will be able to fly to Nice, a new destination to Sofia Airport, on Mondays and Fridays. On March 27, Wizz Air will start scheduled flights to the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon and the Spanish city of Malaga. Passengers will be able to fly to both destinations every Tuesday and Saturday.
Ryanair also offers a new direct line to the seaside town of Paphos in Cyrpus. The flights will start on March 26 and will be operated three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
During the summer season, a large number of charter flights are also scheduled from Sofia Airport to Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Morocco, Greece, Tunisia. The largest number of charter flights is expected to be operated in May – June period and September – October period, which is determined by the climatic conditions of the traffic destinations.
In comparison to the previous summer season, this year a 47% increase in charter flights is expected as well as a double increase in the number of departing passengers (about 40 thousand people).
